The best 2 bands tonight clearly were Coronado and Hanks. I saw several other band programs that arent in the same level as these 2.

I agree with you troyallen. However if you were to tell me who had the best overall show I would give this to Hanks. Hanks clearly had a great run tonight. SISD Marchfest is gonna be GOOD- one of these two bands will win it.

Lets not also forget El Dorado. This band did amazing tonight. They will fight and make a great run at Marchfest. Just you wait and see!

All of the bands on the EPRocks Power Rankings received a Division 1 rating except..... El Paso High School. Should be interesting to see the rankings now. Coronado did an awesome job!

Some of the judges rated 2 to a few good bands. What were they thinking? Clearly Hanks was the best band tonight followed closely by Coronado. But when you look at the others "straight 1's" should also have gone to Bel Air, Montwood and Eastwood. I also think El Paso should have received a Division 1.

I believe Americas, Bel Air and Eastwood deserved straight ones. They were solid and clean last night. The top two performing band would be Hanks and Coronado, however I believe Coronado was the best of them all. Their performance gave me chills. Their sound and balance is beautiful, a sound that no band has been able to match, and their show is well executed. Now if we were talking about the "wow factor", I would give that to Hanks they have a lot of neat stuff going on, but not musically like Coronado.
Was anyone surprised by El Dorado last night? My goodness. I have never seen this band play and execute at such a high level. Their drill is insane. I believe they have one of the hardest drills from the 5A Class. What a great performance. I expect them to challenge the big dogs this year. Way to climb up from last year!

I agree with you also, I was quite surprised at some of the bands that received straight ones, but then again I'm not a judge. I do believe schools like Americas, Bel-Air and Montwood should have received straight ones, they had some qualities that some of the other bands that did receive straight ones didn't have. I am excited to see the SISD marchfest, let's see how the judging panel is then ;D |

Coronado isnt the same old Coronado any more. Bel Air, Eastwood and Montwood should have gotten straight ones! Montwood is doing really good this year!! They have the best themed show! Can't wait to see them at SISD!

Hanks did really good, Coronado better watch out! They're going down since Olivas isn't there anymore. Not the same band  Good Luck to everyone! And watch out for Eastlake >:) |
